We Are UGI – National Volunteer Week

Julie Steiner, who works in UGI’s Middletown office, was recently a volunteer at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, assisting in packing boxes for distribution to families experiencing food insecurity.

“I am thankful for the opportunities UGI has for employees to give back to our communities. The Central PA Food Bank has continued to do amazing work through their various programs during some extremely challenging times in which our communities have faced. The Central PA Food Bank helps families and individuals from all walks of life and has continued to see a rising need not only among its clients, but for volunteers as well. It’s an honor to volunteer with the Central PA Food Bank, as their mission is near and dear to my heart. Be the good you want to see in the world.”

UGI employee volunteers also gave their time to Second Harvest of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania; Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank; Crispus Attucks Community Center; and Helping Harvest. Together, these organizations serve counties across the Commonwealth, providing hundreds of organizations with food to provide to tens of thousands of residents.
