We Are UGI: Recognizing Our Employees’ Volunteerism

03 Apr 2025

During Volunteer Month in April, UGI Utilities presents the annual Energy To Do More Volunteer Award to one UGI Utilities employee in an effort to recognize and celebrate their dedication to the communities in which they live and work.

The winner of the 2025 Energy To Do More Volunteer Award is Julie S., Senior Contract Admin!

Julie received multiple nominations for this award. She goes above and beyond to generously give her time, talents, and monetary support to help those in need. She estimates that she volunteered more than 270 hours in 2024. At UGI, Julie has participated in such volunteer opportunities as grounds clean-up at Camp Victory, Susquehanna Valley United Way’s Day of Action, Susquehanna Revitalization’s Earth Day Clean-Up, various food packing efforts with Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the Miles for MilitaryShare Walk, and wreath-laying ceremonies with Wreaths Across America.

Outside of work, she sits on the board for Sunbury Revitalization, which is a nonprofit that hosts multiple events to bring the community together and help local businesses. She aims to inspire and set an example for her son, who has joined her at a number of volunteer events.

Congratulations Julie, and thank you for your dedication to helping others in our community!
