Infrastructure Improvement in Your Community
UGI’s commitment to the safe and reliable delivery of energy to the customers and communities we serve requires occasional upgrades to our distribution system.
These upgrades include the replacement of more than 60 miles of cast iron and bare steel natural gas mains with mains constructed of contemporary materials such as high-density plastic or cathodically protected steel. UGI has completed more than 90% of this replacement work and continues to complete projects in many communities. Main replacements are often an opportunity for homes and businesses along the project routes to convert to natural gas.
UGI also conducts ongoing work to accommodate future system growth and to maintain existing facilities and equipment, including service lines and meter replacements, and regulator station work.
