What is MBH?

MBH = 1,000 BTU/hour , and BTU is a unit of measurement used to define how much energy the equipment takes to raise the temperature one degree.

What does 90+ AFUE/Et mean?

AFUE stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency and is used to measure how much of your fuel the appliance converts into usable heat. A 90 AFUE unit converts a full 90% of your fuel into usable heat. For this rebate, UGI accepts a unit heater that is 90% or higher (90+). The higher the AFUE, the higher the efficiency because less gas is lost in the heating process which also leads to more savings for your business. For manufacturers that measure Warm Air Unit Heater efficiency in Thermal Efficiency (Et) instead of AFUE, the minimum qualifying efficiency is also 90+. For example, a 90,000 BTU Warm Air Unit Heater is 90 MBH and would qualify for a $180 rebate.
