We Are UGI: How One UGI Utilities Dispatcher is Actively Involved in Her Community

29 Aug 2022

Our Company and employees dedicate time and resources on community efforts in the areas of education, community development, disaster response, and the environment. Throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, children have been adversely affected by the pandemic, and a number of UGI employees have continued to support children and youth services.

Heather Lippincott, a UGI Dispatcher in the Reading area, is actively involved with the One Wish Foundation, which provides children with life-altering medical or social conditions the opportunity to experience a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor adventure. The organization was established to help children and their families by granting “one wish” which gives a child a chance to escape from their every day lives and experience the great outdoors. The child’s One Wish can be anything associated with outdoors, including hunting, fishing, camping, fourwheeling, and more.

“Over the past three years I have overseen the Poker Run & Pig Roast benefitting One Wish, which many families participated in,” said Heather. “Each year, at this one-day event we were able to raise approximately $13,000, which is pretty amazing! UGI employees have volunteered at this event in the past, as well! It’s amazing to see the good things that can happen when people come together.”

UGI is proud of employees like Heather, who get involved in their community to help those in need. Follow UGI Utilities on Facebook (@UGIUtilities) and Instagram (@ugiutilities) to see our employee volunteers in action.
