UGI Helping to Fuel Future Careers
13 Dec 2023
Getting out of the classroom and into the workplace meant dozens of students got hands-on training at UGI’s Learning Center.
Daniel Boone and Brandywine Heights High School students are preparing for next steps after graduation as part of Berks Business Education Coalition’s Students Interacting with Business Program. UGI, a program partner, welcomed students this November to show them jobs within the company.
Building future leaders and inspiring future STEM professionals are key to UGI’s commitment to fueling our future. “It is an opportunity to help teens analyze their future prospects and determine the best fit for them,” says Tracy Ocasio, UGI’s Manager of Technical Training.
Thanks to UGI employees, students took home an understanding of how to use natural gas equipment and technology as well as the importance of safety.
“These amazing influencers are making a difference in the lives of kids in Berks County and our potential future workforce,” says Ocasio. “I want to celebrate all of them and the work that they did with the students.”
