By making the choice to switch, you’re on your way to enjoying all the benefits natural gas provides. Once you’ve signed your UGI Customer Agreement, the next step is the gas line installation process.
Here's What You Can Expect to Happen Next from UGI:
A UGI Expert Prepares for Construction
UGI will design our gas service to meet your equipment needs and apply for necessary permits. Existing water, phone, sewer, electric, and natural gas facilities are located and marked in the street. UGI will select the best proposed route for the new gas service line to your property, as well as the meter location which is marked with a white flag.
A Construction Crew Installs Your New Gas Service
A team of trained experts will install your new gas service from the street to your property. If you've selected an HVAC contractor from our partner list, they will also install and activate the meter at this time.
Ready for Activation
Now, your UGI partner HVAC contractor will connect the meter to your equipment. If you selected an HVAC contractor that does not participate in our partner program, please call UGI at 800-276-2722 to schedule your meter installation and activation.
